Example Firewall Tests

Port Availability

Test the availability of all the ports crucial to your application to ensure they are open and responding.

Example Speed Usage Tests

Line View

The standard user inferface for the speed test.

Live Examples:

Application test: An application test simulates one data session between the client and the test server.

Multi User Capacity test: A capacity test simulates multiple user sessions between the client and the test server. This example simulates 4 downstream users.

Bandwidth test: Assess the highest available bandwidth for a connection.

HTTP test: A test that uses HTTP rather than sockets for running the test.

Dial View

A slightly more elaborate user interface.

Live Examples:

Application test: An application test simulates one data session between the client and the test server.

Multi User Capacity test: A capacity test simulates multiple user sessions between the client and the test server. This example simulates 4 downstream users.

HTTP test: A test that uses HTTP rather than sockets for running the test.

Web

The web test simulates a very basic download and upload test using pure HTML5 and JavaScript; no need for the BCS. However, the test is not as accurate.

Click here to try it out (up to 100Mbps connections)

Custom

Browser test JavaScript APIs can be used customize certain parts of the test process.

Live Examples:

Result Presentation: Exports the results of the test to the page itself.

Email Link: Put a link on the screen to allow the user to quickly send an email with the results.

Restart Test: Includes a button to restart the test upon completion
